this thread is apparently my good luck charm - I got called today from a company that I'm supposed to meet with in a few weeks to have a phone interview tomorrow! The company isn't local so the manager wanted to speak to me sooner than later. so now i've got 2 interviews in 2 days. Any suggestions on an excuse that I'm not going to be in on Friday other than i'm attempting to get out of this hell hole? |

No passing lane this time, I was on a road not overendowed with passing places (back road from Rotorua to Tauranga). I was following a car which slowed down to about 70 on the corners then would speed up to 100, and was drifting across the lane - I thought the driver might have been inexperienced, inattentive or had had a couple of drinks. I knew a long straight was coming up, so when it came up I pulled out and the bastard sped up to 115. As I got passed him, over the brow of the hill at the far end of the straight came the blue and yellow. Expletive deleted! |
