I just noticed something really funny, on my real gmail account, I used my real last name and the year of my birth. The name is in one of the top one-hundred last names according to the US Census, and even though I've never used it anywhere it could be spammed, I get over 25 spam messages a day. In about 48 hours since I cleaned the spam out last, I'm up to 62. The funniest thing about this is, out of those 62, not a damn one is a 419 scam. They are nothing but "enhancement" pills/solutions, random black market prescription medicines, stolen goods, or BS saying my bank account has issues, for a bank that there's no offices within 50 miles of me. So I can get all of the hard-on pills, Xanaxes, Rolexes, and stolen bank info I can stand, but not one Lad to pick on... Annoying...

Anyone else experience this? Or am I just crazy? Oh wait, yes I am crazy. And I've got the papers to prove it! Very Happy

~Jayne

Welcome aboard!

Sign a few guest books, you'll be knee deep in lads in no time. Better not to use your real name, but I'm sure you know that.

One of the top 100. That probably explains it. They just pick names and send to every possible combination. The ones that don't bounce back are valid. Those they sell. Or did you post or use that address somewhere?

In that case, there is nothing we can do for you.

@luckey
You need to read the post. It is a normal account, not a baiting account. You can't just answer every post with the same standard response. We don't give points for that answer. Smile

Yeah, I'm doing just that. And no worries, I got a great email addy and "name" for the lads. Very Happy

Thanks for the warm welcome too!

Edit: I don't like being a double-poster, so I'm adding this reply in:

Nope, that's what I've got a hotmail account for. Very Happy I just let the junk pile in it. I was actually surprised that the addy wasn't taken when I set up my Gmail account, but I was a fairly early adopter. And I never got a lick of spam until Gmail started getting popular, though. But the Gmail spam filter works right 99.9% of the time too.

Pardon me, but did I do/say something I wasn't supposed to... 'Cause this morning, everything here was normal, as I said it. When I came home from work 10 hours later... Everything's all pirate-tated. My word, by the way. So did I make a stupid noob mistake, and break some unwritten rule that I didn't know about, or did some mod/admin just feel like pulling my leg and seeing what else they could get ahold of in the process? Very Happy

Or maybe, work has driven me so crazy that I'm seeing it all FUBAR'd?

Dazed and Confused,

~Jayne

Nooo, no way. l might be crazy, but l ain't insane! l do not even use it on my hometown's forum. For those who do not know, Jayne Cobb is a character from the TV series Firefly. l won't even use Jayne as a "victim's" name. lol

Which version? The normal, or the "Special" one-day only version? Razz

EDIT: I meant to say "Account"

Double EDIT: I meant to say "Acc0unt"
