The little woman is a dean at a University. Every year, she drags me, kicking and screaming, to the formal dinner-dance held for the other deans, graduating students, faculty, big money donators etc. I hate going for 3 main reasons: 1) I hate wearing a suit. 2) All of these people are waaaay smarter than me so I hate the dinner conversations 3) I have to take way too many vicodins and drink too much scotch and cheap house wine to keep from attacking their pompous asses so I'm always feeling like dogshit the next day. Every year, I try to push the envelope of good taste a bit farther in hopes I don't get invited the next year.
Year 1 - I ask the Physics professor at my table if he knows where I can get some weapons-grade plutonium.
Year 2 - I ask the Asian man at my table if he thinks the reason their children seem better educated than ours is because the beat them better than we do or more often.
Year 3 - I bribe the DJ to interrupt the slow dance portion of the evening with 3 straight uncensored Eminem songs and proceed to lipsync to all of them.
Year 4 - I ask the extremely old head of the psychology department how loud the big bang was.
