There's this blog that's been up since July, '09, and it has gotten ridiculously popular in a very short time. It is just terrible to read, but that's a different story.
The new thing is that the owner of the blog is now soliciting money for some "amazing" philanthropic project that he can't divulge all the details about just right now. But he's going to make "miracles" happen, etc., etc.

He's also obsessed with M&Ms, and is constantly trying to get sponsored by them. It would be hilarious to pose as an M&M rep and have some fun with him. Or to pretend to be a big donor who wants to get involved in his "amazing" campaign.
I would try to bait this guy, but I am not nearly as tech-savvy as he is. I hope someone here will take a look at this cheeseball. |

Sorry, I meant to say his blog has been up since June of 2010. So he has picked up thousands and thousands of readers/disciples in just three months. |

That's not what we deal with here. If someone wants to send money to a blogger, who says he has some secret miracle that he's working on, it may not be the smartest thing to do but it's not fraud.
ETA - What are you on about, bill2? If you have something to add, then say it. If you have an issue with a post, you know where the "report" function is located. |

Exactly what is the scam here? The guy is "upfront" about what he wants. You can choose to donate or not. That isn't a scam in my book.
