Yep, my new car. I haven't even made the first payment on it and some idiot has managed to put a 2 inch scratch on the paintwork Evil or Very Mad

I KNOW who did it. It was the woman that parked so close to me in Tesco car park that I had to climb in through the passenger seat to get into my car. The woman that walked past me and made a point of avoiding eye contact with me. The problem is I didn't notice it til 2 days later. The scratch was too deep to T-cut so I ended up having to put a sticker over it and try to console myself with the fact my car's easier to spot now. Even so, I KNOW that scratch is under the sticker and it'll eat at me every time I see it. I am not a happy person Mad

They are usually excellent, and massively cheaper than the garage. It's a franchise, though, so if you know anyone who has used your local one, ask for their views first. Or get onto the website for the owners' club for your car, and ask them - they are bound to know whether the local guy is good or not. If he's not, travel to one who is - trust me, it will be worth it. Smile

Also, park as far away from the shop door as possible. You'll get dinked a lot less that way.

I feel for you. The first dent on my new car was about two months in, and was someone parking too close and opening the door onto mine in my own car park at home repeatedly. Evil or Very Mad

He was not entitled to park there anyway. I cried when I saw it, I kid you not. Sad

had chips away take out the stonechips on my car ---- bloody good -- cannot see them at all, even a yr later.

However as 8 mentions, its a franchise
