November 2, 2006 - Lawsuit Filed Against Ortho Evra Maker

WASHINGTON -- Another lawsuit has been filed against the maker of the
birth control patch Ortho Evra.
The lawsuit claims 43 women developed blood clots and other health
problems since taking the prescription contraceptive.
The suit also claims a Maryland woman died from blood clots after
wearing the patch.
According to lawyers, Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical Co. should pay
substantial financial damages to their clients for the health
problems suffered.

The company is not commenting.

Unless approved by a court, I think lawyers cannot advertise class action lawsuits.

And no court would approve of illegal spamming to do that.

That is enough for me to say "scam"

The site this redirects to also has crappy setup. Their root directory gives 404 error.

Bobcat is right, there's no way this is legit.

I suspect it's someone simply trying to dicredit the original company.

I should have been clearer Bobcat...I know all too well what a joejob is, I was the victim of one.

...but when I got hit, it was all through anonymous untraceable sources.

This spammer seems happy to promote his/her website in the spam, and therefore discrediting themselves in the process regardless of whether what they say is true or not.

That's the odd bit to me.
