Cyber - This used to be (more than 10 years ago), the standard means by which lads contacted potential victims.

Anyone else read the book, The Informant?. Towards the end of the book you find out that Mark Whitacre probably started embezzlling funds (not to mention price-fixing) because he had lost money on 419 scam which he had recieved by FAX.

And there seems to be some speculation that the FAX is the reason that lads write in caps all the time. Apparently a lot of the letters destined for the fax where in capital letters so they were easy to read.

I'm surprised any lad could operate a fax machine though, I can barely get mine to work.
