No doubt a scam, and a really sophisticated one.
One dude has tested this and here's what he found out (translated):
He went to the website and he downloaded a "chat" program. He tweaked the firewalls etc to the max and started the "chat" program.
There was a lad called "Steve" online and he sent a message to him.
Steve had made a program that guessed the next number in the roulette.
Steve told that the program would cost about 2000�/week and totally 100K�, which would have to be paid in installments. Every time you paid the fee you would get more time to use the program in online state.
The next step was to create an account in one of the 100 quite well known online casinos.
The "victim" made the account. The demonstation of the program was made with the "play money" mode. The "victim" gave Steve 12 first numbers and Steve gave the next ones.
The thing worked out fine and all the "guesses" came true. Everything seemed to be 100% fine according to the "victim".
Next the vic wanted to get proof that the thing really worked by choosing a casino of his own choice. Steve gave the alternatives and the vic chose Monaco Gold Casino. The vic checked the website and it seemed to be ok. He made an account, using his VISA card information. Then he turned on the chat program again.
Steve told him "hey, you've got money in the account, I can see what you've got open on your monitor screen". The vic confessed that it's true.
Next the vic said that now it's time to make money and he's not going to buy any program without a thorough test first. Finally Steve agreed, but only if the vic made an account somewhere else, because he didn't trust that the vic wouldn't use the money.
The vic closed the chat program and made an account to bet365. This time he transferred 10� to the account and from there he transferred the money further to the betting area of bet365 so they wouldn't show on the roulette part of the site. The vic opened the chat program and got confirmation that everything's ok. The vic gave Steve 12 numbers that eventually came true. Steve told that the next number would be 2. The vic put the 10� to number 2 and won 360�.
The vic went back to the chat program and wanted another number. Steve claimed that the vic still had money in the account, but the vic lied that all the money is gone. Steve wanted the vic to open the roulette page and show him that it's true. At this point the vic closed the chat program.
Then the vic opened the roulette page and was going to transfer the 360� back to his account, but there was no money. There was no mention in the gambling history of this 360� winning, but there was the info that the 10� was spent.
The vic tried to start the chat program again, but it would not run. It seemed that some file was missing. Steve had changed some of the program's .dll files.

Apparantly, the man who invented the roullette table went mad trying to suss out a formula. There isn't one. The only way it can be done is if the roullette itself is fixed.
Roullette is just about the ony casino game that is 100% chance. Anyone offering a 'failproof system' is talking 100% b**l*cks. |

Whoa.
So how did this happen? I am guessing the "chat" program was some kind of keylogger or trojan.
or maybe the casino sites were fake. |

Wild guess:
The "chat program" actually installs a modified hosts file (or a service to intercept DNS requests, in cases where the hosts file won't be read, i.e. XP SP2)
This hosts file/DNS daemon redirects queries to most popular casino sites to the scammer's web servers. Since the scammer is now "running" these sites, and the victim thinks that the sites are real, the scammer can now "predict" this "third party's" roullette numbers.
Of course, that's what my imaginative nerd-brain has dreamt up  ... it could be very different. Do we have a copy of the "chat program" to dissect? |

Actualy there is a way to cheat at IRL roulette. I saw it on the history channel a few years ago when they covered casino cheating.
It had something to do with timing the ball with the 0 when they pass landmarks, you can have a good idea of what quadrent the ball will stop in. It was quite sucessful. It was a primitive computer that did the calculations. |
