Quote:
A New Zealand brewery is reportedly offering a lifetime supply of beer for the return of a stolen laptop.

Local media said the laptop was stolen from the Croucher Brewing Company in the central North Island city of Rotorua earlier this week.

Owners were desperate to retrieve the computer containing designs, contact details and financial information, the Rotorua Daily Post said.

They have offered free beer to anyone giving clues leading to its recovery.

Co-owner Paul Croucher said the company would provide a lifetime supply of about 12 bottles a month to anyone who could name the thief.

The company has back-up copies of the material stored on the laptop but these are not up to date, the newspaper said.

Well, any takers?

They deserve everything they got. I hope the beer is better than their IT policy.

I know the brewery, it's one of the micro breweries, makes a good brew, bottles are 750ml, if I remember NZ bottle sizes correctly after a few years away.

But 12 a month, ye gods, it'd feel like a lifetime waiting for the next delivery, a case a week maybe, would be closer,

^^^^ I've obviously been away too long then Josh, I know Steinlager is in the little bottles, what size are the large bottles? DB/Waikato etc, I thought 750 for them, a bit more than a pint, and do they still have Leopard Lager from Hawkes Bay? Hastings I think it was?

You can get Lion Red in 750 ml bottles.

Of course it all depends on how often you wish to beat your wife...

Reference to kiwi film Once Were Warriors where the drink of choice of the sadistic and ultra-violent lead character was 750 ml Lion Red

I remember those weekends when it was 6 oclock closing, and all the drunks were on the main street on a friday night late shopping, cartons of lion red, DB green label stacked on the foot path,
