Isn't it customary to create your own "My 1000th post" thread?

Personally I reckon a "Milestones, Anniversaries & Birthdays" thread would be a good way to cut down on those sorts of threads... but most other people dont' seem to mind them.

Come on Pastor Frank, you can do it!

Just wanted to add my 2p to say congratulations to Rover, Lotta and all the others who've been fighting the fight against the bots. A lot of very hard work I'm sure.

The consolation I draw is that it shows that the baiting (and warning) community is having enough of an effect on the scumbags that they went to the trouble and expense of launching the attack.

Keep up the good work all.

As at 11:00pm GMT the bots started attacking eater again! - as you can see we are holding on. Things are not 100% yet but we will continue to keep us up.

Should this server go down rest assured we have two servers ready to take over at a moments notice. These backup servers carry a live backup of the entire database. Simply go to the yuka site for the new url.

I had a few people email/PM me today about some minor forum downtime/errors (about 20 minutes). Please note that until this DDoS attack is over (and it may well take weeks, or months) we may well have to suffer a little downtime here and there. We are pretty confident that we can keep the whole site running at near 100% capability for near 100% of the time. Some sites unfortunately have not being so lucky, so please bear this in mind the next time you encounter a few errors. A few minor miracles have been performed over the last week or two, but sometimes our prayers may go unanswered Smile

these attacks will continue until i learn how to remove the tibs.trojan and tibs downloader files from my mother in laws pc.

If all your mom does on the net is webmail and surfing do what I did three years ago and you won't regret it. Set your mom up with a Mac Mini. Before that I was reinstalling my dads computer every 6 months. Since he went Mac, no new viruses. You could also set her up with a good desktop linux distro

kubuntu, Rover.. easier for a windows person to switch to that than any others IMO.. but I haven't messed with that in MONTHS.. I've been too busy playing games made for windows!!!

Once again the Klingon attackers have waited for the crew and I to go to sleep before attacking us with yet another round of fire. I frikken was up to 03:30am this morning and the Enterprise was flying just great! then off I went to my sleeping quaters and whalla!

I had even checked in with Big Chief Babba Sticky (Shiver) himself and assured him that we were fine up till then. Little did I know that the Klingon Klalath class ship was lying in wait.

No worries mate! we're back up and running again now!

If only the lads behind these attacks understood that all they're doing is making us more determined to make their lives a living hell. Since the attacks, I have tripled the amount of baits I'm running. As the saying goes...Payback's a bitch.

While the database here is 100% up to date - the front-end (phpbb etc) is not a live backup of eater - so things like avatars might get lost or change but the rest is all the same
