So that makes them a Mugu? What does mugu mean, to me their just guys trying to make a buck or two on a not too honest way. Happens everywhere all the time. Things like insurance or banking are already on the edge. They work with the greed of the public, you know it can't be real, but buy it anyway. That's how fences make their money too.
All I can find on the www.
Mugu
Mugu is a term used by the scammers among themselves to describe their intended victims. Roughly translated this term mean "big fool". I use this term to describe the scammers that fall for my "unbelievable" stories.
on http://baita.mugu.co.uk/
mugun. a fool; (hence) a person who falls for a scam. Subjects: Nigeria, Crime & Prisons, Derogatory
Editorial Note: Outside of Nigeria, this term has become associated with the victims of the advance fee, 419, or money-cleaning scams. A similar term is magha on http://www.doubletongued.org/index.php/dictionary/mugu/
or the famous wiki --http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigerian_Pidgin
These guys are just selling crap to people that believe in free market enterprise and their luck being there. Fools are everywhere and I think they are called Mugu |

we call our lads mugu - they call their victims mugu.
These guys are no different than the ebay people - putting things on ebay and selling knockoffs. We (in skype chat) just watched them sell several folex. We picked out who the lookouts were and where they were.
If they were on the internet - we'd be baiting them.....
Going to bed now - they all cleaned up and left. |

These guys aren't called mugu because of their skin tone, Bill2. They're called mugu because they're (or were) scamming people.
MUGU (Our Definition): A lad, a scammer, a petty thief, a fraud artist. While the original term may come from Africa, note that in here it applies to scammers of any nationality or ethno-cultural group. |

Hey, how come the site was shutdown as soon as I signed up a week ago? I've got a complex already. Expanding on this thread, I was born in and lived around big American cities all my life. Face to face scams are a part of my life. From the guy waiting outside a bank with "found money", the Godfather types selling swampland, and the endless parade approaching anytime(midnight) anywhere(any place you walk or drive)with any story. I just had the same guy walk up to me on successive days in a library parking lot asking for money due to his car breaking down with his stranded sick wife and kid. I'm going to try this approach here but there's nothing like eye to eye, face to face as you outwit your scammer in real time. |

Hi Queen Tika
Welcome to eater. It's nice to see you came with a tinfoil hat!
As for your question, we were attacked by scammers who made our website unaccessible last week.
You should hang out and read the stickies. To get a mentor, PM cherrie.
Don't give out any personal information here.
Don't bait with an email addy that can be easily traced - yahoo, hotmail....instead use google, googlemail, hushmail, fastmail, etc.
Others will be around soon to give you more advice. |
