If you wanted photos fast, you could hire a professional photographer (they hang around night clubs, etc.) who usually have a relationship with a photo developer. A little bribe could get you the photos pretty quickly, I would think.

I agree that it's time for M to get a little suspicious. How does she know that Ik3 is really in Guinea? If so, why hasn't she seen him yet, and he didn't send the photo from the goat market, maybe he's just leading her on?

IMHO he's seeing if you're for real or not.

In the first photo the dude on the left appears to have a very thin growth of hair on his head, in the second picture his head is slick as a whistle. Appears that a long interval of time passed between the taking of these pictures.

Maybe 1k3 is right, she should stop running and just go visit the British Embassy. The wonderful thing about embassy's is if your in deep doodoo they will arrange to get you home... only downside is you have to pay the airfare back at a later date.

Why not somehow manage to get her to the embassy at Bamako and have the consulate give 1k3 24 hours to come collect her, or she'll be put back on a plane to London for her own safety Twisted Evil

I know he is only a stupid lad but the thing that is bothering me is that he isn't asking for "details" on exactly where you are. If I were him I would not be just giving all this "generic" advice, I would be trying harder to pinpoint your "EXACT" location. I do believe he is in the area, but if I were him I would be giving you "some" sort of exact location to meet me at....Still something about this seems odd. He gives "all" this advice, but doesn't make "exact" plans to meet somewhere in the area...Something is wrong here...

^^^ Errmm... in most emails he does ask me for exact details, in fact in his last he just wrote "Please Let us have the right direction on how to Locate you " by that he means "tell me exactly where you are"... in the early ones he was far more insistent. He's just got used to the fact that i am vague and don't know what i'm doing. I agree, his latest emails are very sly and he's clearly lying but i know that he is in guinea and i until he's twigged otherwise he continues to believe that i'm a maga who is about to give him a massive payday.

But yes... something is wrong... he's a lad. Nothing is ever straight forward or what it seems. I'm working on getting as much info out of him as i can, i'll keep trying for you guys.

*UPDATE*

I thought I'd give you guys a sneak peak of what I'm sending the lad tomorrow. If this doesn't get his arse into gear I don't know what will (well I do... but I don't want to play that card just yet Very Happy

). He'll be told that I found this on a shop front (or some such) in one of the towns I passed through. Enjoy!

I love how he keeps asking you to give him exact addresses and directions when you're not from there. He's being kinda mean to an alone, scared, knocked up gal in a country that is not her own. Maybe Eliza and you could play off pregnancy hormones and get mental/desperate on him. I mean, how dare he only give you till saturday. If he really loved you, he would stay even if his friend left him. After all, you risked your life to go to another country where you didn't know the language.

He needs to be beaten... and hard.
