Since posters occasionally appeal to this forum for help with various PC performance issues, I'd like to contribute my "tuppence" worth of guidance. Shocked

I'm constantly dismayed at the way manufacturers of Windows PC's seem to delight in mucking up the operating system with undesirable crapware. As a worker in the tech support sector, I've therefore prepared a simple tutorial featuring the technique most often used by my colleagues and myself for "exorcising" overloaded machines. I'm sure many Eaters are already familiar with the dramatic performance benefits to be derived from this technique, and I welcome any input from them on how my tutorial might be improved. @Rodus: I once switched on a Mac. Then I sat there looking at the screen, completely puzzled. Just thinking, what do I do now? Where's the bloody start button on this thing? I wasn't even able to shut it down properly (I think I pulled the plug in the end to make it stop humming with its ventilator).

Yeah, I read about all that bloatware crap they stick on new computers, I cleared most of what I could find when I bought my new laptop, and I downloaded the Decrapifier to find anything I missed:
