The Co. phone number is a mobile phone to Malaysia.

Nope, there are no knock-offs to be had here I'm afraid. Tis a "phone lad" scam.

Let's say you want to buy the latest Nokia phone, he offers you one for a silly knock down price, you're taken in.... he says he will put it in the post, as soon as you send him the money by (surprise surprise) Western Union money transfer.
You don't hear from him again.

Combat these scams by helping out the very nice members who shut down their email addresses and websites in the "Phone lads" forum.

I wonder: how often does someone post an "Is this a scam?" thread and it turns out to be legit?

Seriously, it's a scam. Most unsolicited e-mails offering "too-good-to-be-true" deals are. They will take your up-front payment and run.

Just goes to show how easy it is to fall for a scam. No one ever suspects the real thing, so how many bad ones are accepted as real?
