I'm going for my wisdom tooth out tomorrow!! Hopefully, all the infection has cleared and it's a green light!!
I may be feeling a bit drowsy, but hey, I should be back tomorrow night!!
@R8...I'm gonna ask for vicodin....never had it before...

Getting those teeth out either go great, or sorry to say, CRAP!
The dentist had to put his knee on my chest and chisel mine out.
I remember a mate of mine I had to drive to the dentist and wait for him to come out of his general anaesthetic so I could drive him home and make him some soup (I'm a nurse remember) - He was a mess when he came out. face all swollen and bruised, he didn't know up from down, left from right, or man from woman.
I stopped at a set of lights and a lady in a silver Mercedes pulled up next to us. My mate had the window down and his face was caked with blood. She did the double take when she saw him leaning on the door smiling stupidly. He was so drugged up he tried to smile at her and when he did all this bloody came out of his mouth. He cough and spat drool and blood all over her car door. She screamed and drove off like a maniac. I laughed so hard at her freak out and reaction. Poor lady...

Take a painkiller before you go and a couple of hankies to use as a pad, then your will be fine.
Best dentist i ever had was an Australian, gave my gum a freezing spray before the injection, never felt a thing.
I just think dentist's cover their own back, when they make these sort of remarks.

I got my wisdom teeth out a couple years ago. I remember getting knocked out for the procedure, then waking up on my couch back home!
Apparently once the gas had worn off and the procedure was over I had gotten up, gone with the person who was taking me home, and started walking around the office while they signed me out. I didn't say a word, but kept trying to walk on my own - and wouldn't let anyone guide me.
All through the doctor's office, down the steps, in the car, OUT of the car, back up the steps at home, and onto the couch.
...don't remember a thing. |

My ex-boyfriend had 2 wisdom teeth pulled out under a general anaesthetic. Woke up with bruises on his chest from where the dentist had knelt to dislocate his jaw, and then again to get a better pull at the teeth.

I've got a dentist thing tomorrow also. I actually had the appointment to redo a filling last week but forgot about it after literally gassing myself silly. I am putting in a glue down bamboo floor and the glues and solvents are something else.
I plan on taking an Advil or some other OTC pain med with my breakfast.
You will be just fine. When I had mine done, the dentist only did two on one side and started to clean up. When he read my strange expression, he asked if I wanted to get it over with. Driving back would have been more painful.

On agood note, all went well and thatnks for all your kind comments. I got me some good drugs...hubby wont let me have any wine my dentist -well, oral sturgeaon, used someting that wasnt general, but i cant remember bugger all. Felling goodish now though

If it helps, I had four out at the same time (all impacted) under GA I was given a week off work, I went fishing and had a great week. But then again I didn't get a dry socket or infection or any of those other nasties that can occur.
