If he sold his wife, he probably has 3 or 4 more in reserve. Ask him to sell one of those to make up the balance. |

OK - so he raised $900 for the car. Why not suggest he can raise the other $1,370 if he did indeed sell his wife.
To be helpful, I bet you could find a buyer for him ... or maybe more than one who can keep outbidding each other.
I'm sure there are a few helpful peeps here who could make an offer to two ... |
