I am new to this and just found this the other day. i get the emails from 419ers pretty regularly and most of the time if i do respond back it is to cuss them out and tell them what i really think of them. but this playing it back on them sounds kinda fun... and i am on a ship and bored at night so it will give me something to do... i would like to have a mentor in this new endevor especially later in the prank... when it gets interesting... like i said before... i am on a ship and not always on line all the time... i can sometimes be offline for up to 2 1/2 weeks but any info would be appreciated... and i keep reading about baiting sites??? what are these and where do i find them to put my alternatate email address on them.

I wouldn't make a good mentor, but boy did you come to the right place! I used to get peeztov at the scammers too, until I found this place. Now I love the little buggers! I used to scambait on my own (I have since stopped claiming that I invented this sport), but then I joined this group of misfits. You won't find a stranger, more sadistic, or better group anywhere on the net.

They won't notice they never emailed that account. One scammer alone spams hundreds (if not thousands) of people a week (day?)...

I signed two address books back in 2003, and I still get regular scam intros. You could also do it the easy way and just go to the Surplus Letters forum right here in River City.

As the stickies say, these adorable scammers don't really care who sends them a response. They send out 3,000 e-mail scripts a day, so they'd never say "wait a minute - I didn't mail HIM"! It doesn't even matter what you type for the first 2 or three e-mails, because they just send you a standard script right off the bat. And don't worry if your mugu twigs out on you. There will be more, you won't even have to wait long!

Since you already have quite a scammers writing to your personal account, take one of those and pretend they wrote to your fake email addy (copy / paste will do). As Weas said, Surplus lads are in need of attention desperately as well. Welcome to Eater!!
