We wonder how it's possible to be suckered in by such as thing, but I have to admit the first time I saw a banner ad on a website saying I'd won a holiday because I was the millionth visitor to the site I thought it was real.

I gotcha. And glad it isn't true for you--but there are real vics out there, the lads are taking in over a billion $ w-w annually just via 419ing.

I only saw your list of 'victims' and didn't read the disclaimer--was too awed and mad by then.

But we're both on the same page, so to speak. Laughing

imho - I think probably everyone can be scammed one way or another(not neccessarily thru internet) - given the right situation, build-up, and approach. Might be trust, need/want, misinformation, or being naive/inexperienced that let's it happen.

Plan to do more than just bank/site kills later, but for now RL(offline) has kind of intruded/precludes more.

I hate the internet scams, but am dealing (at present) in RL with victims of predatory adults(?) (25+ years old) targeteting youths (10-13y.o.), and won't express my personal view of what needs to be done to them. So, for now 419eater and aa419 are my 'release' valve for RL

Unfortunately not. I did a spot of paedobaiting years ago and it is not something I enjoy thinking about.

Agreed on the above,

Baiting sexual predators means not only dealing with even-more-vile sh*tbags in their own cesspool, and best left up to P-J and Dateline NBC, but also not appropriate for this forum. As much as I too want to see them behind bars, I won't crawl into their gutter of filth, it's best left up to the pros on other venues.

The pop-up 'millionth-winner' banner didn't fool me. Early on into my baiting however I had to investigate the unsolicited info request for further details from a website that looked like my real bank. And I do not do on-line banking/business. My bank--WAMU--(nationwide USA)confirmed it was a scam. But unfortunately there are too many innocent vics out there who fall for it. Sigh.
