Good point YW. If an ethics thread is started, it must be good baiting. I sure hope to hear from him soon. He really just kind of up and left for Niger, which surprised me. Maybe he'll do the same with Kenya.

Our plan is to tell the lad that there was a problem and the cash had to be moved to the peak of the mountain...which is actually a large crater (forget the terminology) located on the Uganda side of the mountain. If he goes that far, maybe we will have him go down the west side of the mountain to Mbale in Uganda. Smile

How about telling him it's in/near a hut on Mt Kenya? There is a loooong day's journey at altitude which involves climbing the 'Vertical Bog'. It's a killer and the hut is a rat infested pile of crap - well worth a side journey - I can give you exact details if you want (been there, done that, got the map) Laughing

Good news and bad news. I heard from him.

The bad news first: He will not be there in Nairobi this weekend. The reason being? He is going by car.

The good news? He is going by car. Twisted Evil

That will be one long miserable journey.

^^^ Cameroon is the route I would take, if going by land. The only other option is to pass through Chad and the Sudan... not places you would choose to go I would hazard a guess. Unless of course you happen to know a Reverend with connections in the UN Wink

I am particularly happy about this route. I want him to give me very detailed descriptions of his journey. I'll try to map it all out shortly. This is going to be one heck of a trip for him. I have requested that pictures be taken along the way. I sure hope he can do that for us. That would be brilliant.

I think he is on the move. His IP resolves to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. It doesn't make sense for him to go that way, but we'll see. I think he has left Niamey, Niger though. The only thing I think he could be doing is trying to avoid Chad.

This was his old one: 193.219.220.50

It might be a slow journey there.

So he has back tracked how many hundreds of miles to Ouaga, and now he is talking about catching a flight from Congo... Shocked

Which suggests that he is going to drive from Burkina Faso, through Benin, right the way across Nigeria, through Cameroon, and eventually reach Congo where he is going to catch a flight to Kenya...??

Oh, and it also just happens to be the rainy season across West Africa right now, just to make driving even more of a nightmare.
