After having just watched the news please accept my apology on behalf of the British people for sending you Posh'n'Becks. We did try Spain but they cottoned on quickly. Whilst at the moment they may appear to be all shiny and new, that quickly fades away to lacklustre and dull.

We promise never to do such an under-handed thing again and hope this does not sour diplomatic relations between out two great nations.

Again, we are very sorry. We just ran out of options

Compared to many others that live there, she's a mild case.

Leave Posh and Becks alone. David single handedly revitalised the male grooming industry and also played a bit of football on the side, and Posh single handedly....errr, did something else.

They seem a nice decent couple devoted to their children, and are doing whatever any of us would do. Maximise their incomes to ensure their children get the best start in life. Shame about the names though...the kids I mean, not the parents.

We have a habit of knocking people in this country for their success, in America they aspire to it. Good luck to them.

I was rather amazed last night, to discover they actually did an hour long show on her. I did not waste the hour watching so can't tell how good or bad it was.

Also like KD said they are in LA it is a separate entity of it's own.

The thing that annoys me most is the fact they are giving Posh her own reality tv show, I would have thought we had enough of that crap around here as is. I tire of all these reality shows, but that is a different rant for a different time.

^^ I wouldn't expect too much on that front Lotta, although I heard that the pro team in my area is sold out for their match with LA. However I imagine it's because of the immediate publicity rather than a long term thing.

Just wait until their kids get beat up in school for "talking funny"...
Posh's breakthrough reality series was cut down to a one hour special - hmmmm - wonder why? Not enough content - same as her brain...I hear they are getting some of the pictures from their photo shoot blown up for their house. Yeah - just how do you explain half naked pics of yourselves on the living room walls to your kids...She's sniffed far too much hairspray and Beck's overloaded on the Ben Gay fumes...

I really don't care about them one way or another. They're rich and good looking ( by LA standards) so they'll fit right in here.
What chaps my hide are the radio commercials in the local area:

"David Beckham has done it!! David Beckham has pulled it off!! David Beckham has won the day!!!!"

You'd think this guy had cured cancer, discovered cold-fusion, and worked out the Unified Field Theory, all while taking a break from re-writing the Davinci code to explain the meaning of life. Rolling Eyes

Don't worry too much. We have an area of LA where all of the celebs live. They are kept seperated from the norms. It's been said that living there is like living in a bowl of granola: What's not fruits and flakes is nuts.

I interviewed the Spice girls about 9/10 years ago. Posh was lovely. A really nice girl. If you watch any interview, she's always the first to pull herself down and as for her being thick, she's made a multi million dollar fortune from being herself and marketing herself and laddo well. Not too stupid then?

I think it is just the natural jealousy we peasants have for the very successful, particularly when we feel it is all a result of superficial reasons and not talent.

At least "Posh" is not trying to get everyone to join some cult. The rest seem to have been quiet--at least on this side of the "Pond."

Which . . . is all that matters.

At least it is something for the wife to focus on so I can continue having fun on here. My daughter wants to go see him play but the game is sold out here so I guess it will have to wait till next year. Oh well, not that I mind (I would take her if possible, but im not buying tickets to 2 other games)

I am not really sure if Posh and Becks have even realized that they are in a different country....I mean, after all the speak some kind of english there and I am pretty certain, that Posh doesn�t have enough history knowledge to know about what happened back in 1776....she might only think "wow, they have strange queens here on the pound banknote"....ahh...sorry...screw the "think" part... About 5 years back I bumped into David Beckham at Heathrow.

I was heading to Africa to do some charity work for a children's hospital, and he was really interested to hear what I was doing.
Anyway, he gave me a phone number and told me to call when I returned as he wanted to make a contribution.

When I called the number, it turned out to be someone at Manchester United's offices.

She said that Becks had told her that I would be calling. He had saved a match-day number 7 shirt for me and had personally taken it to all of the players and the manager and got it signed and packaged for me.

A week later the shirt arrived along with a handwritten letter from David Beckham congratulating me and wishing me good luck.

Not many celebs would have gone to the trouble that Beckham did, so I have a great deal of respect for the man. clapping
