I agree that <strike>all</strike> <strike>most</strike> <strike>some</strike> <strike>a few</strike> <strike>a couple</strike> one of the mods do(es) a great job.

All joking aside, we do have a great cast of Mods here, even if I don't agree with them 100% of the time. They have a job to do and they do it well.

KD worked on it 16 hours on Saturday and many, many more yesterday.
Evidently he has gone to get more help and they are working on them non-stop.

Just seems an odd topic to start a thread about.

While we do joke around and "bash" the mods, in a friendly way (sometimes).. The examples are going around to the newer members that maybe the mods are the "heat source" of the incoming missile. It's not to "suck up" or to gain browny points. It's to finally show them that they are doing a great job around here, and it's to prove that there is a bunch of us that really do love the work that they do (for free).

We all go out of control sometimes with posting and such, and while those that drink and post are the ones that should be most thankful, because you don't want to wake up the next morning and seeing a really bad rant, that you didn't want others to see or know about.

I disagree that we should not have at least one thread saying our praise. It may be stupid or it may be kiddish, but I truly do believe that this thread has a point of common interest.. or else it wouldn't be 3 pages long Razz

I apologize for the couple of posts that had to be deleted (in my haste to try to fit in usually). :banghead:

I have learned a lot from the Mods here (and most of it is good). I have gotten to know a couple Mods via PM and appreciate their candor.

Thanks for keeping the peace here all of you Mods (including the newer and back seat variety). Thumbs up

I entered a contest hoping to get a pony, but I think I am better off without one. I don't need the extra attention it would bring from the Mods... Wink

Having been away from Eater for a while (not voluntarily, I hasten to add!), this comes as a great surprise! I think that people should only be allocated a pony if they fulfill the original criteria AND know how the pink pony award came to be!!! Cool

[serious mode] OK, the mods here are by far the best of any of the many forums I've ever visited, keeping life clean and troll-poop-free so the rest of us can enjoy both our baiting and our chat with like-minded souls. The least we can do is give respect, and accept that whilst not everyone will agree with every mod decision, they do what they do (very successfully) in good faith to keep Eater the great community it is!!!
