If you feel that local tattoos aren't safe then tell the lad to go to (name of city farthest away from the lad that has strict health codes for tattoo shops). My bet is he'll get the tat done locally and then try to weasel the cost of the trip and hotel out of you.

@ XPS: Totally useful information for those of us who live in the USA. Hell I bet they still do tatoos the old fashion way in lad land so I bet scarification is still done the same way... that being hot metal. Here is something useful though. As a crazy little punk in high school I did my own scarification with an eraser. Take a pencil eraser and rub it against your skin for 30 seconds... now imagine doing that for an extended period of time. That my friends would be a hell of a trophy video to get from your pets. Cool

I think that all of the lads should have tattoos from baiters so that we can keep track of them more easily. Let's start a data base here of tatoos and then every single form we make them fill out will include the questions: Do you have a tatoo? If yes, what is it of? Laughing

We'd need to set up our own super-safe financial service that will pay out only if you've got the right barcode tattooed on your forehead. An encrypted 8-...erm...9-digit (10?) MTSN. Who sets up the website? Who contacts a few tattoo studios for that special treatment? Customer dis-service phone numbers?

^^^^Good! Because I was not sure about suggesting that two different Lads far away are tattooed with one half of a series of numbers which is the "combination" or "access codes."

This is revealed to them afterwards.

They must find one another.

They are not suppose to reveal to the other what the number means.

My lad does not know he was baited. The bait is still going on.
TheFire and my self will be trying to get the mugu to try and write
his ordeal of becoming an Opus Dei Templar. A publishing Co. is very interested in his 6 months that took him to become a member. Laughing

Back on the Planet Topic: I think tattooing barcodes would be hilarious. Kind of like catch and release. Perhaps we could just staple a cattle tag to their ears?

^^^^Well, I like the idea of a tattoo having a message the Lad must go somewhere to decipher. The likelihood of them getting a long bar-code accurate to read the right number--which will, of course, be "wrong!"--is remote.

Now, how to make the bar-code useful? Lad must travel and have his bar code officially read?

Will prove unfortunate should he get it on a place that is not accessible to any bar code reader.

I had thought about the "cut playing card" motif--spy has one half of a cut playing card that matches his contact. If you could get two Lad on opposite ends to have the matching other halves tattooed on themselves, and then send them to find one another, that might be interesting. Of course, one could make sure they do not match. Both are warned that some "rival" organization will try to get the information.

BA Ware, you need to be more open minded. Doctor X could revolutionise the way we operate. I think for us to really understand the number of lads we face I propose we tag them all with geosynchronous global positioning micro processors. Just a small device that is inserted under the skin. That way we could track their movements and numbers, then collate this information into our super-duper-computers to calculate the category theory referring to composition of functions. If we have three objects A, B, C, a map f : A -> C which is written as a composition f = h 0 g with g : A -> B, h : B -> C is said to factor through any (and all) of B, g, and h.

A minor variant on "if and only if"; necessary means "only if" and sufficient means '"if".
