could we get all PMP in a joint sticky?

Just to make it easy to see if your "friend" has phoned and to keep the phone numbers together. I understand that some will lose their massive message count (VP), but just to make it easy to find and easy to use for the new members and the older and lazy ones like me. Wink

Some opinions about this?
And what do the Pimp My Phone (PMP)Members think about it?

The existing 2 main PMP threads seem to stay on the first page fairly consistently, which means they're not too difficult to find. I guess it's really up to the mods and the people who run the PMP (which is an awesome service btw).

I agree with yrubraj.

VPM & e6ffdyr0 have proven themselves to be excellent at what they do and regularly update their threads. In my humble opinion, they've earned the right to be stickied but probably don't need it - if anyone needs a phone call there are always enough people posting here to point them in the right direction.

Although we've got some new PMPers, I reckon they need to be more established before they can get themselves stickied. This is in no way an insult towards them, but we need more time to know that they're happy taking the calls before we send our lads through to them from a sticky.

At the moment I'd say it's still early days.

The other worry is that if you sticky at the top of the Main forum, there is the chance (however slight) that their numbers might get out to the lads as they'll be easier to find.

Still: I think all of the PMPers do a magnificent job.

The 'suitcase/safari sticky' in this forum may not need to be here much longer.

If a few of you could put together all the Pimps numbers together, I'll put it forward to powers that be and make it so. The thread will be locked, so any changes to it will need to be made by a mod or admin. We may even be able to add it to the helps forum, in the database thread. Once again, locked to avoid clutter.

I'll need all the names, numbers and locations of the Pimps.

This is a service from members for members and is free to use if you inform the owner of the line first of your lad�s possible call. Unless stated otherwise in their info.
They are willing to perform this voluntary service on their own costs and it means extra work for them.
They will do what they can to help you and your �friend�, but you can not make any claims, they are human too and sometimes get the strangest calls at strange hours.
The more you expect from this phone call the better they should be informed!
Use it wise and make sure that all �facts� are clear to the owner, they don�t accept any responsibility and if you tell them to wing it, you might end up with a complete different story, which in my case did the whole game a lot of good. Laughing

Keep them posted on the story and they can help you better, but they don�t have the time to read and memorize lots, so keep it to the point.

frankly I got no problem, but the eaters must let us know in advance who they pass on our numbers so that at least we get a list of who to expect.

Including the time would be helpful too, eg GMT +7 is mine
(I am a vampire and therefore don't sleep; but if the lads call me in the middle of the night, I will think of an excuse)

this morning at 5, I got a call from Barrister Emily looking for someone and I simply replied "No such person at this number" and Barrister Emily replied "He gave me the number" and hang up.

btw there's someone else who is based in Bangkok and wants to be part of the gang, but not sure whether he/she can handle it

(ooops you got my number wrong ...........................)

(in the process of getting a Hongkong number as well, and will post details; number will be valid, but will not be answering any calls)

other that scammer I dont care for b8ers using it to tell me, because playing along until I know the setting is the funniest part and I cant memorize it all anyway.

A nice post to my pimp phone thread is allways welcome, though. Just to keep the thingy alive w/o me necroing it.

As I don't memorize who is who, all the lads who called and seem worth the effort will be posted there by me Cool

@scammer and Ivor Grimey Colon Done, the final make up of this item is up to the mods, some basic rules and operating times is nice for the owners, but I think that if you want to know what was said or maybe even hear what was said you arange something with owner of the number.
No thanks, as I started out, a search for "pimp my number" gives 500+ messages and I'm too lazy to go through all of them to find the number I would like to use. There were some other messages about it too, so I just copied the stuff together. You Guys and Girls are doing the work and the investment, we should all thank you.

I agree with the PMP Directory. I've been keeping a lil' spreadsheet of my own with links to the pimps' original postings. (yeah yeah...I know. Dork.)

Having it all in one place, with a good strong reminder to PM BEFORE USING could be very helpful.

Finbarr's been kindly helping me out as the Associate Registrar of my Conservatory. I hope he's not M.I.A.

Edit: I was going to include the numbers I got - but you got em' all upon further checking.
