Hellbastard...Yep, my brother fell for one of those FREE porn/cam sites. The dummy filled in all his credit card information for verification.

The bank verified the next month that he HAD been charged several times. Rolling Eyes

Check out Utopia's latest rant against Zoie...If this is a fellow baiter then you have lost your tiny mind! Foul language and personal attacks are not helping our case against educating people on this site. We baiters have already been targeted and tarred with almost the same brush as the scammers and those kinds of comments aren't doing anything to help the situation. I'll just put it down to somone "overindulging" on the beer/wine but posting when you are sh*tfaced is not a good idea.

No doubt Utopia is unusual at best, and she / he is probably (almost certainly) teaching the scammers by the posts made however, my original comment stands, I dont think Utopia is out to scam anybody, rather a lone wolf baiter who thinks they are doing good.

I could be proven wrong, I do not profess to be an expert in these matters, I am simply going by my gut feeling on it.

Luckily my gut feeling also says not to give utopia any personal information as with any other person we meet on the internet.

Perhaps a message from one of the more experienced members here could teach them the ethics and finer points of baiting and in particular the lesson of DO not teach scammers.

There is obviously a lot of effort put in by Utopia and if that effort was pointed in the right direction then perhaps we will have another fine baiter to share stories with

This may or may not mean anything. I was kinda watching the comings and goings of PL. I noticed that the rocker dude was on as usual around 2 am. I then noticed that he was gone, BUT, admin. was signed on.

Admin stayed on about 10 minutes. I clicked refresh again and found admin gone, BUT, rocker was once again back.

Is it possible that he is part of this site?

don't let ok english, and a fleshed out profile fool you.

maybe some of the 'fake' non scammer profiles are profiles set up by the owners as ringers?

the owners don't care if 90 percent of the profiles are fake.
they must be making money from the sites.

maybe that's the goal? have a huge scammer filled dating site with lots of ads for other dating sites?? people are probably clicking on the ads and making money for somebody

I think I am going to get one of the dating sites. They must be ruddy raking it in! I got some spam following putting my details on a baiter messageboard to join Argentinian Ladies - but I have found they charge about $5 per email so I doubt I will get anything from there...

HB and Lizzy, I know I am a little late but thanks for the tips on the live show.

Something that may interest those who want to do some resaerch on the people that are in question on PL.

I have been looking at the site linked a few posts back by me (remove the '4's replaces with 'a') and from there I have followed a trail that has led me to quite a few details of R0cker and the odd bit of info on the other 2 that we have mentioned. it would seem they are 3 people, R0cker first name, Bob probabal surname bruggxxx (not sure how ethical it is to post the rest and b could be first initial) from a place called something like Waterfield (going by memory I looked at it 10 minutes ago and short term memory loss has set in definately something to do with water) Washington email address [email protected].

Not sure how usefull any of this is but I do recall someone else here knows details about the site in regards to the first anniversary and probable closing date and the name or location may ring a bell if we are presuming Rocker is involved.

Again I am not sure of the ethics but you could soon find out if he is an admin by posting a profile using his name, if he's an admin it will be gone before you could blink, if he's not you could be disclosing the personal info a real person who is just a frequent visitor of a dodgy site.

Someone else can make the call there

I notice that Chen has stepped up on posting the flowery poetry lately!
It's a dead cert that Jayne and Chen are running the show. I'm not so sure about Rocker. A lot of the comments he posts are kind of suspect. I'll have to do some more digging on him.
The site itself was registered in Oct 2007 and only for one year so chances are it will go away in a couple of months. The traffic has drastically slowed down with the exception of baiters posting. I did get the banner ad for the christian single site removed. Took several emails to their admin and several screen shots for them to be convinced that they were linked on this trash site. I don't see the point in doing the same for the plenty of fish or the naughty or nice site seeing as they are almost as bad as profile@ooker.

Yeah, probably the best thing we can do is keep the scammers busy, and 'outted', and warn any normal people to keep off the site.

It is kind of a good training ground/catcher account for baiters, though.
You're prone to run into anything there.

At guymannemisis - I haven't had a bite from plenty'o'fish. Not a sniff. I can't even remember the password to log into it.

Mails from profilefooker have slowed up for me. Mybel0vednet still gives me two or three vlads a week.

It seems that everyone is complaining about Ut0pi@ and his/her comments. Maybe someone should try and get her to tone down her/his foul language and racial slurs in those. I would, but, I'm not experienced enough yet to handle this.

She does go after scammers with a passion. IMO, there is too much anger behind some of her post. I believe her/his intentions to be good. It is just giving certain people from PL the opportunity to campare all baiters to this one person and their comments. And that AIN"T good. Rolling Eyes

Our U friend is a scam victim turned baiter. YEah, a bit of a loose cannon, but what the hell....she can get away with it at PL!!!!!!!!!

We've exchanged some PM's. She's probably not what we want as an example of a 'baiter' in the real world....but at the looker sites....she seems to be keeping busy....probably doing more good than harm.

I guess it's granny who embeds the Utube 419 videos in the comments?

Who knows?? maybe the goal is to try to keep baiters busy on these sites and not real ones?

One of the real people there said the other day that most of the real people are leaving the forum. I have chatted with 3 real people there. None of them are interested in coming to this site. Two of them are helping with a bait. One was already baiting my lads female persona.

a reliable source told me the corker family of sites are listed for sale.

this gives some strength to the theory some scumbags intentionally built large sites using scammers, fake helper profiles, and numpty real people.
dating sites don't care about content of members....just numbers

build what looks to be huge busy sites....make money along the way with ads.....then sell them.

if this is true they will do it all again........

only other possible explanation is its owned by scammers.......or some cohort

a cohort of mine has located the exact script they use for these sites.
from the admin panel...of course they can see your ip, but can also read YOUR mail, and even log in as any member!

do you understand the implications of this?

don't talk about 'baiting' or personal stuff with anyone on that site via the internal message system. you don't know who you are talking to.....or who will read your mail later.even mail you sent to somebody you know and trust here.

very important for your safety as well as that of other baiters.

we're not sure who is running this shithole....but there's no sense in jeopardizing your safety....or that of anyone else.

I'd suggest if somebody wants to message you, you take it elsewhere.

safe baiting.....theres no reason scum of any sort knows who you are.

I had already assumed that the scum that set the site up were looking at everything.
It seems to have gone awfully quiet on the site lately. No interesting comments in the forums (not even our local rant queens Utopia or Chen) and certainly nothing but dumb attempts at poetry on the blogs. I kind of miss the insults and veiled threats... Twisted Evil

I was bored so I went to that site and tried to make an account but they want my gmail account password so they can get in and harvest from my address book. Now it just so happens that I don't have any addresses in my new catcher account at gmail but if I did, hell would have to freeze over and the pope kiss my ass before I'd give out my password to anyone, whether I could change it later or not.

WTF do they think they're doing? How come that site hasn't been hacked to shreds?

You can bypass the bit that asks for your e-mail password, just click on one of the options on the top bar and you're in.

My guess is that the lads don't realize this, so the site is mostly filling up with them and their victims.
