Ugh. One of the newer forms of the pyramid scheme has now been targeted to us poor college students, who often look for relatively easy ways to make money that doesn't involve nudity or other such things: Vector Marketing. They send out mass mailings and job listings on sites like Craigslist looking like they're "hiring" for "internships" (actually just another take on the Amway thing).

I myself am a college student, who wasn't able to get an internship this year due to restructuring of the intern program where I worked last year and almost got sucked into this - thankfully I did a Google search and realized "wait a minute, they're not telling me what they want me to do in the letter...." Thankfully I was soon after able to warn many friends of mine (and my boyfriend, too!) not to take on the "opportunity" and saved all of us a whole lot of grief.

Disgusting, overall. Evil or Very Mad
