Hi folks, new to the site- followed it through 419 Zeros, spent an afternoon repairing my rips having split them to the stories of Frank Rizzo.
So I thought about an angle (I'm sure someone else must have done this) and came up with the idea of seeing how many song lyrics I can get into a message before the lads won't play anymore.
First attempt - the Beatles (thought I'd give them an easy start). Told the lads to remember the words of St. John or St.Paul before giving them the quote.
Managed - "Can't Buy Me Love, Let It Be, All You Need Is Love, From Me To You, Yesterday, The Long & Winding Road, Elanor Rigby, When I'm Sixty-Four, Things We Said Today, Give Peace A Chance, We Can Work It Out, Give Imagine, Ticket To Ride"
Went from June 6th so a month for my first attempt - lost them on Twist & Shout - probably a bit much coming from Father Tom!!
Look forward to my second attempt - baiting as Usama Bin Lina - will be using the lyrics of Yusaf Islam (Cat Stevens to me and you). Going to be interesting when I get to "I Love My Dog" |

Thanks for the welcome folks, reason I started with the Beatles was two-fold
1. I think I recall the stat that every minute of everyday a Beatles record is played somewhere in the world.
2. I'm a scouser - so why not start at home!!
I forgot "A Day In The Life" from the original list - I'd sent that to Barrister David.
B.A Ware - your too spooky - that was going to be the next song (either that or Lucy In The Sky)
I'll stay safe and look forward to adding my 10p worth.
I know this is probaly old hat but I reckon Reprob8's "Steelers Banner" is the greatest thing I've seen - split those old sides again!! |

Good to meet you, Lyrical!
Your idea sounds like lots of fun. I've used lots of song lyrics with lads (sometimes claiming they were bible quotes), but I've never thought of making a "thing" of it. I have no doubt it will be interesting and entertaining. Let us know how it works out, eh.
And remember: Read the safeties, bait sticky, and have fun! |

I use song lyrics all the time. They sound prophetic.
Hell, look at my location. |

Welcome waxing Lyrical.
I also occasionally use song lyrics, why just the other day i was a poor boy, from a poor family, I was caught in a landslide, no escape from reality, shivers down my spine and my body was aching all the time.
