OK - here is the spoiler - I can't resist it - for those of you abroad who did not see it...

The Dr saves the day then dumps Martha for Jack, the Master seduces Jack and runs off with him. Jack gets bored, dumps him, comes home, quits his job in Torchwood and becomes the new "Face of L'Oreal".

The suspense in waiting to see final episode for season is killing me. Just 6 hrs or so until I get to sit down and watch it.

It is worth it - especially the bit where the re-incarnated Tom Baker version of Dr Who comes in from a time warp and slaps Chris Tennant with the severed head of a Sontaran tied to his 800 ft scarf.

Like I would really spoil it by telling you what happened - suffice it to say it was fun, moving and very good sci-fi Smile

yeah read about that somewhere, go the Internet, was able to watch the finale last of the time lords, and the last 16 or so episodes back to back over the lat 3 days.... Embarassed

I really liked the poster boy twist, if you think about it time just goes round and round like at the end of blink, if you think it through the events will just keep going in a circle....ahh my head hurts..

minor spoiler ahead -
end of series 1 of torchwood is with jack noticing that the doctor and tardis have arrived, followed by jack running out the door (which then takes you to first part of season finale for dr who)

Apparently Martha is only going to be in the second half of the next series as she's switching mainly to Torchwood, so the Doc's getting a new companion.

I wasn't keen on the finale. The Master just wasn't sinister enough - John Simm seemed to be trying to outdo the Doctor for eccentricity, being flippant with the President etc.

I loved Simm. He'd make a fantastic Doctor.
He was sinister in his actions but not his stance. I don't think that was bad though because you wouldn't want an all out serious episode.

I agree with johnny5, Simm was excellent. OK he was very extrovert unlike the old master but when Time Lords regenerate, their personality changes.

S'pose it was quite a serious episode but thats "the" master he is pure evil, the doctors greatest enemy even more than the daleks,The Doctor even calls him master in "Utopia". Idk maybe I just liked the older masters.
Well he had both good and bad sides to him

John simm was good in "Life on Mars", which has been going on for a few months here in oz.
