what do u guys think?

Well, their domain name was only registered 12 days ago, so they are not exactly what you would call a long term company, plus their domain is only registered for 12 months, they use a Hotmail email address and among other things, they use Western Union, so I would say NO, do not buy anything from them, if you want to buy cheap goods from Chinese sites, you are going to get ripped off pretty quickly, there are thousands of sites just like that one that spring up every day of the week, the steal money, they buy a new domain and start all over again:

Whois's are a good guide but there are also many on-site clues you can use with sites like this.

For example you have to be logged in to buy, and a javascript alert is hardly a graceful way of telling you.

Clicking register and the registration form has "payment: WU, Bank Transfer, visa". So much for the paypal sign that's annoying the crap out of me on the right hand side.

Lets look at the products.
This TV for example. They're using an image from AuctionDrop. It's on sale for 480 euros, which is �322 / $646.
This 10 second search on google products shows that's just a touch low. And "SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA PICK-UP ONLY".. but hang on, they're in China.

This laptop is actually more expensive than the 63 inch tv!
A search for it shows it should be around 1/4 the price. The specs at the bottom are so badly laid out they're almost unreadable.

I think my favourite bit though is on the left "Shoping car". Something things can be lost in translation but if you want me to hand over hundreds of any currency to you, you better make an effort.

Each mistake alone could probably be explained, but put em all together, throw in a bit of common sense and that tells me that even if this was a proper company selling real goods (and I'm 99.999% they aren't) I wouldn't be buying from them.

Hm...
A couple of things I noticed in the beginning:
1.) Layout is f'd up.
2.)[email protected], A hotmail account? Surely you'd have a REAL email account for this business.
3.)The "message board" isn't a real message board.
4.) They stole images form Auction Drop.

But who knows, maybe all this means nothing -- The goods count for the TV is 0 after all.

Their website lists address as 7F Dimeng Commercial Building, No. 6-2 Hua Yuan Road
Google "Dimeng Commercial Building" everything listed shows Dimeng Commercial Building as being No. 3-2 Hua Yuan Road excepty for this company.

also (on Google) using 7F Dimeng Commercial Building:

www.sjtcshop.com (you can guess who this looks like also)
www.bjexpoc.com (appears to be dead)
All three of these use 3-2 Hua Yuan Road
linkshop66 & sjtcshop use hotmail and same annoying paypal link.

My God that Paypal thing is really annoying. Interesting to have us go through the site to check out whether it's real or not, as I don't know if it would have occurred to me for a site like this to be anything except real.

I guess it's an easy scam though to pretend to be selling goods, take a few orders and then disappear off the face of the earth. A slightly different type of post here, but a good example that what we're doing here is a public service as well as simply entertaining.

The paypal is annoying. But then the 1990s scrollers splattered on the front page compete for the title of supreme MY EYES!! too.

Do you mind if I ask if you might have spotted any of the indicators listed in this thread... and what would suggest to you that the site is real?

To me it's fairly obvious it's either a fake or they need to fire their designers, but that may just be because I'm super cautious (e.g. I often spend a few minutes confirming known legitimate business - I'm super paranoid about who I pay) and I'm just fascinated to what might put your mind at rest... I love the psychology of scams.

Well I probably wouldn't actually buy anything from a non-New Zealand site to start with, which does rather cut things down. The fuzzy images did twig things for me a bit too.

To me, the site is quite obviously fake without too much digging, but then I'm very vigilant on any site that wants my money.

I realise that others may not spot the things I do so easily, so I was asking IboYa, or in fact anyone that thinks it could be real, to explain what gives them that impression.
