Nothing much to report except one 'Mr David' who started calling after I was off duty (after 5pm) and this is the best he could manage to the voicemail, of which he has not figured out and after 20+ calls he has definitely paid for connection charges for all so that is good. Now if he can only learn to call at a decent hour Rolling Eyes

That is my lotto lad vp he was moaning last night that he couldn't get through I suggested "we" keep trying so hopefully he will call again today. Like I said he isn't having a good week he went to MG nothing was there, then U3man chopped his dollar now he can't get through to you Laughing

EDIT- Sent a mail asking him to call you around 11ish and you will be able to furnish him with a MTCN. Whether or not you can I will leave up to you.

Sorry 4x but I am not as competent as you thinks I am Wink

I spoke with MrDavid for a total of almost 10 minutes (5+ first call and 4.40 second call) and I have left the 'receipt' on my desk at work (also I email from work too, not from home) and told him I paid the money but he was confusing me asking for a NTCM number so I told him when I go to work Monday I could see it that was the receipt..but he did not like that idea. So he wants me to call them and get it...too bad a bunch of foreigners work there and I can not understand their accents (although Davids accent is OK Rolling Eyes

) he will call me back at 1pm. OH dear I hope I do not forget, as the decorator is here Laughing

Well David has called back at 1pm promptly (he is very prompt...I am not used to a lad that can keep his appts! Rolling Eyes

) but unfortunatly with all the bad weather around the phone connections comes and goes, so I have put in a voicemail stating abt the weather and phone probs ant to leave a message..yadda yadda. He has been calling but not yet leaving a message Laughing

Lads prefer to just speak to one person which is why I suggest you give my number out as your own. Then once they do call we can fill in the blanks as to who I am. If you tell them to call 'someone' else to them it is taking a chance of someone else being wise to their scams and ruin the scam = no money for the scammers. Keep things simple and do not give them choices they ask for a number give them mine...no questions or explanation needed then build you story after.

Also only a low number of lads actually do call. All lads seem to want the phone numbers, a few call only once to validate you, only a few will call more than once and when you get one to this stage then it can get entertaining Laughing

Thanks for the advice. The problem I have is that I made a big deal out of that fact that my character is from Finland, so giving a non-finish number is a problem.. I will have to change tactic in the future I think. But being from a country the lads know nothing about is fun too.

No worries with the number really, I have said I lived in the USA and the number was a company satellite phone provided to me by my company and I really do not know how to use it very good..yadda yadda. Most do not notice but if they ask I always use company phone excuse..their head office could be in the UK. The story's we tell run from almost sensible to utterly incomprehensible and most are believed Wink

Oh dear more problems, I thought after the first call 2+mins that he was mad at me but he called back and we talked for 10+ mins....then either ran out of credit or i pissed him off. Laughing

Anywho he claims I emailed him only 9 numbers, I told him I could not understand those foreign bastards down at WU and I went over the number many times with this foreign woman and I think David is confused somehow...I am stuck in my house with 6 foot of water and the council men in their boats keep going by an will not pick me up they keep saying they will send a barge for me Evil or Very Mad

and so on.....

This lad is only asking for $850 between calling the two of us he must have spent that already, he can drone into my voicemail for almost two minutes without anyone on the line.

Yeah I thought he might call again, my original character gave him a little nudge saying that I had every faith in you that you would have it sorted out by the end of the day and he would be able to go collect the loot.

I'm sure he is loving it over at the disservice line, all that being held in a queue, he will be on his beloved phone for hours; talking but nobody listening Laughing
