I have a [email protected] from Vancouver, BC who needs money to come to me. Gave me the address of her uncle Dave Munro at 716 Bay St. in Victoria, BC. There is a Dave Munro in Victoria at a different address. The IP is hosted by microsoft. Told her would have to send Western Union instead of Money Gram and that her uncle would have to have ID with correct address to get money. Any thoughts here?[/img] |

First up, have you checked the headers to see where the scammer really is? The person may either be a fabrication or a mule. And always go for MG over WU. WU can be checked online, MG can't so they have to go there in person to find out the MTCN is "written down wrong" |

I found a second IP hosted by Savvis(US), which is the originating source. I will tell him/her that I will use MG instead, and will have to put it off another day. Anymore fun things I can do besides forgetting a digit on the pick up code? Also, is it possible this is a US scam? |

There are six D. Munro's listed in Victoria, none on Bay St. Ask her for a postal code. I know Victoria quite well.

Hi,
Pulled up an online map, there are no residences in the immediate area, all commercial, or empty lot. Shows between a muffler shop (address would be on another street) and the local Armories.
