I have a property for sale (in Canada) posted on the web. I received an e-mail that turns out to be someone from Nigeria wanting to secure the property with a 'deposit'. I was leary to begin with but offered to give the person my lawyer information if he was interested in making an offer. Then I looked up the scam using google. I love the idea of scambaiting, but don't know that I have the creativity some of you have to pull it off. I laughed for hours at some of the absurd things this guys will do. Does anyone experienced want to be my 'lawyer', so that I can pass this one to someone who will keep him on the hook? I would appreciate any help or advice.

As my friend above mentioned, if he knows anything about you in real life (e.g. name, addres, phone nrs, email) then drop him like a hot potato. If not, you can continue baiting him.

You can also create a safe-bait addy and bait him from there (starting a new bait).

Good luck and bait SAFE!!!

PM cherrie, or any of the moderators that you need help/mentor. Drop the guy. If you want us to go for the kill, you may spam his adress on the forum. But cut him lose, first and foremost!

OK, this guy has very little info, but enough that I have taken your advice and dropped him. I think I will spend some more time checking out this site before trying to do some baiting of my own. In the meantime, if anyone wants to get ahold of my scammer, his email is <[email protected]>
Please let me know of any success in baiting this guy.

Thanks for everyone's help.
