I was reading another scam email, and thought it would be amusing to create a general template for a scam, here is what I came up with:
Dear (Sir/Madam),
I am [name] of [company], I request your co-operation in the transfer of $[amount] that was deposited in my bank by [name2] from [place] on [date].
This money was given to him by [company2] for [stupid reason].Unfortunately (he/she) (died/got abducted by aliens/erased from history)
along with (his/her) entire family in a (plane crash/tornado/flood/radiation leak/catastrophe) on [date2] without completing the assignment.
Since his death we have been waiting for his next of kin to claim his money.
As we cannot release it unless somebody applies for it as his next of kin or relation to the deceased as indicated in [strange foreign policy] but
unfortunately we found out that all his next of kin or relations died alongside him at the (plane crash/tornado/flood/radiation leak/catastrophe) leaving
nobody behind to make the claim.
The [strange foreign policy] indicates that if the money remained unclaimed after [time period] the money will (be lost/given to the
government/combust/disintigrate).
The request of a foreigner as his next of kin is because [stupid reason2].I am looking forward to a foreigner like you who will act as the next of kin to
transfer this money into your account. If you agree to act as the next of kin for our benefit I will give you [percentage]% of the entire sum
(100-percentage-random number]% will be for me.
Best regards,
[name].
After filling in the gaps, make sure to add spelling mistakes and typos though |

I still don't get it. If I were to create a scam template I would be able to spot scams more easily? Does anyone have problems with spotting scams they just created a template for? Maybe I'm having a blonde moment but I honestly don't get the usefulness of a scam template for a baiter. Or are you working on an autobaiter? |

I didn't mean to pick on you I just honestly didn't see the point. But if you were just bored I guess it's ok then. |

I sort of get what you are doing here. Although, posting it on this board is a bit redundant. We baiters can recognize a scam letter a mile away. But as long as you've posted it anyway, let me give you one additional keyword. "Transaction". This is the red flag of all red flags. You need to add that word in there somewhere.
Also, welcome to the Eater. |

Welcome to eater!
It surely is really nice that you try to help improve baiting.
However, most people here can recognize a scam letter in 1 second, we have seen the weirdest things come by.
Though it might be nice for people who do not know about baiting.
Yet, the diversity of scripts is way too many. From selling puppies to reclaiming millions of a president who recently died. Therefore, if you wish to warn people with standard letters, it might be a better idea to make a collection out of the surplus-letter forum or from the internet.
A few warning key-words should be added.
Good luck!
And, bait safe! |
