I have an idea...

I propose that I open a gmail account, post the username and password here...

Interested baiters then post their interest in being part of the group bait here. Once we get a scammer on the hook, the baiters then take turns replying, each baiter has to continue the story as it develops.

Kinda like Chinese Whispers or Pass the Parcel, or group sex (maybe not)...

Anyone interested???

Yeah, I was wondering about that...

Couldn't really see the harm in putting it out in the open.

Already set up the email address... The poor unfortunate victims name is 'Lighting McQueen'... (my 3 year old son is watching it on DVD at the moment Smile

)

First things first... we need to get at least one scammer on the hook...

I have sent out about 10 emails to people from the Surplus Emails here, but so far I have only managed 1 reply...

Any ideas???

It sounds like a fun idea. I'm in.

If you need a pet, I have a plethora. It's like a f***ing kennel around here and I would be glad to donate one for worthy research such as this.

However I suggest, in the spirit of the game that you make a list of baiters involved. You name one to respond to a letter from the surplus room and then we take turns until a mugu responds. We then continue the rotation as the plot sickens. Very Happy

Well ...it all depends on what your reply looked like and when you sent them. For the purposes of what you are trying to do here, keep it short and sweet to begin with, and don't go over the top

Ok, i've sent out standard responses to 3 emails that were surplus in my catcher account.

i say we take the first one that responds and go from there. straight bait right from the start.

if the other two reply i reckon we ignore them or palm them off to another baiter. keep focused on one lad here.

thoughts?

Why not all scam the same guy the same time and keep each other posted here. It will waste more of his time/money and if we can read here were he is heading we can play along better. Like: If the "bank" is in London we all have to be in London in a few days so we might as well meet in front of the same webcam or if he wants the WU solution, we can all convince him that those questions are normal.

i reckon you should just do it first come first served.

whoever logs on and sees a new email responds.

that way the mugu is being worked over 24/7! Very Happy

what do you reckon fun2scam? otherwise we have to wait for people to have their turn etc.

just make the only rule that you can only reply if there is a new email from the lad.

Hey... I am a visionary... I have ideas, putting them into practice is well beyond my skill level...

My only thing was, I like those progressive stories where each person writes a bit, and then next person has to try and pick it up and go with it...

Just taking any available new mail would work...

If it doesn't, I don't know HOW we would ever find another scammer to improve our method with...

OK... rule change... log in, if there is a new mail you can reply...

(In Gmail, If you read a new mail and turn it to 'read' (not in bold) you can change it back to unread from the Inbox screen, if you didn't actually reply)

fun2scam No thanks, now one lad wastes the time of 10 scammers instead of the other way around.
It is a nice learning possibility though as you have to knit on where the other one left off, but too much trouble for me, I'm just a time/money waster with straight baits only. They should do the work and I'll be just the oil (sand) in their machine to create their fortune Twisted Evil

My �English� comes from a word processor with dictionary and a spelling checker so it would be a lot of trouble for me to understand what�s going on and not to loose the lad.
This is doing exactly what I want it to do, I�m learning to write �English� and I help the third world economy a bit Wink
