Mods, forgive me. 
Woke my computer up from standby mode this morning, opened Outlook Express and got an error message that it encountered a problem and needed to close.. This has happened about 6 times in a row now...
Files mentioned in the error report are msimn.exe, ntdll.dll, kernel32.dll, ADVAPI32.dll, RPCRT4.dll, USER32.dll, GDI32.dll, and on and on and on with a looooooooooong list of .dll files.
Any idea what it's problem is?  |

what is the exact error? does it say the files are missing or corrupt?
Bad .dll files is not a good sign though, usually means virus/malware or hdd is going bad.
Does it happen with oe only or with other programs? if it is oe only you might be able to get away with reinstalling it. |

personally I am not very fond of the microsoft recovery thing that comes on xp now, but if you do have that on, you could try like Poison Ivy suggested and roll it back about a week or so ago. In the very least it is worth a shot, because you wont lose any info and it cant hurt the program any further |

Thunderbird is aewsome for mail. I don't care for it for newgroups though. I can't put my finger on the why though. I just open my newsgroups and go "eww" then head over to OE. |

Next time it does that first check the wigit coupling in the framis board. Sometimes they get loose. Or may be open the exec windows and double click on the dodel button. This will clear the dll files from the collection bin. If those don't work always shut a windows OS down and restart if something doesn't work. The OS gets confused and probably mess up the memory in sleep mode. |
