Let me see.... pre-prepared form for about $20.00 US or talk to a lawyer and have a proper will drawn up to meet my circumstances for lets say $1,000.00. Gosh, lets go with the pre-prepared form where you don't get to ask any questions about what something means please! |

I'd always recommend having a Will drawn up by a lawyer (but then I would say that). However, you'd be truly shocked/appalled/amazed at how many people don't have any kind of Will, usually because they don't want to think about their own mortality and they think they are 'too young'. People think they don't have any assets worth making a Will about but it's not just about the house, the heirlooms, etc. If you have kids and they are orphaned who do you want to look after them? What about your pets? Your car/bike? Your precious CD collection? Your porn library? Do you want to donate some/all your assets to a charity? Are there any rellies who you specifically DON'T want to get a dime? 
In any event if you do die without a Will the chances are that a lawyer will have to sort out the whole mess anyway so you may as well spend the money now rather than have your grieving rellies forced to do so after you've gone (not that you'd care much by then anyway). |
