Ok,
This is, was, basic check scam based on overpayment. However from what I can read he wants me to send him $2,450.00 to receive the check. I think. I believe the point of this scam is to get me to believe that I'll be able to collect an insurance claim from a missing check?

I'm pretty sure this lad has been getting english lessons here though. Wink

Note to other newbies, all it took to get this started was a simple "Sounds Interesting. But I'll need more details." Razz

He makes it clear (???) that you either sign in person or retain a lawyer to sign for you. Of course, the lawyer is one of his and will require more money.

That's all I had to read before I knew this was Raisin Mak. He and I are old friends. I have baited this guy for over a year. (9 or 10 different baits and one is over 9 months old.)

Seriously, nobody could fall for this. Right? Please say yes. Please.

On a brighter note I just fired up my Linux laptop with my baiter ID and I am off to rummage around in my junk mail bins to see what new treasures I can find.

I'm baiting him as well (in fact I think I picked him up from a post by B.A.Ware), and got the exact same e-mail from him.

I'm supposed to be meeting him in West Africa next month.
