Hello,

I always came by for a good laugh, but this time I was the mugu...I just tried to call my wife...and a person who picked up the phone told me that she was in a car accident and went to hospital. Off course there was a little problem due to the lack of funds. He wasn't sure whether he could give me instantly more informations because he had to confirm my identity. He tried to milk more infos out of me, but didn't get very far.

I tried my wife with a different number...and guess what she was well and kicking...

Later I found out that I dialed a wrong number...that number was

xxxxx

I hope that cruel #*?hole gets some phone calls by now!!! Ask for Uju.

The guy made me believe that my wife was a victim of a car accident...he jumped just to the occasion that I dialed a wrong number...he invented immediately a story and tried to profit from the situation in telling me that money for the hospital procedures was necessary...imaging my shock...it was this early morning...to me it sounded a bit fishy in the beginning that he didn't want to tell me right away the circumstances of "her accident"...you know since my wife is from Nigeria I always gave the citizens a bit of credit...but what a fucked up country if you just dial the wrong number and the caller tries to scam you... the likelihood that you get easily scamed like that is in any other country very slim

@ Hamst, I am sure you appreciate that people sometimes post phone numbers of ex boyfriends/girlfriends/people they don't like etc, on the internet to cause them grief with unwanted calls, we have no way of knowing if you are genuine or just wanting to get back at someone by posting their number so that members can cause them grief for you. I believe the "mugu mail" forum we used to have on eater was closed for that very reason.
