What's a good picture editor? I'm looking to create fake newspapers and put my company name on a few buildings. |

If you don't mind a price tag then Photoshop is unbeatable. |

If you want something just a little more powerful than MS Paint, you can search for a program called PhotoFilter. I use it at work (thumbdrive) when I want to do simple stuff. At home, I use Adobe Fireworks. |

If you are running Linux then using Scribus and The Gimp is the way to go. Unfortunately I have never really liked Gimp's clue-free interface.
For windows try paint shop pro. Lots of versions available and it has a 30 day trial. I've used that for years. Very similar to Photoshop but much less expensive.
I just checked the Scribus page and there is a version available for Windows too. Good program. Similar to the old Quark or Pagemaker programs. |
