I played DragonForce's "Through The Fire And The Flames" for a friend recently, who then, unjustly, said it sounded like a really poor Eurovision entry... After the initial shock of having such a phenomenal talent compared to that last Gemini tripe that dared to imply it was anything other than pure sh*t, I began to think that maybe they should really be the UK's entry. I'd vote for them, and they have quite a big European following...

Sorry to sound like a boring c**t but I have lost all respect for Eurovision. It's all political and that's why no-one ever votes for the UK. I blame this sorry state of affairs on Anthony (insert swear word hear) Blair. Europe has no respect for the UK anymore. I mean we (along with France, Germany and Spain) pay for the damn thing.

Got slightly enthused the year Guido Horn and Dana International took part. Shocked

Now I cheer myself up by playing a little game with Terry, to see who can get the most P'd by the end. Very Happy

Mrs Shiver watches it religiously every year. There's no accounting for taste (she married me for God's sake). By default, I therefore have to sit through most of it too. However this year I will be watching for the sole purpose of seeing how utterly shit we (the UK) do with the abomination that is 'Scooch' Shocked

Eurovision is very much like making love to a beautiful woman...it drones on incessantly for hours and if you are lucky you fall asleep half way through it and miss the climax.

Lordi is absolutely god awful, and I believe they won last year.

This year, I became label mates with them, much to my dismay... The label keeps sending me cds and promos of their album, and its sooooo bad, i threw them away each time.

I also cant stand Dragonforce, but I hate power metal stuff.
