Anyone ever considered having Baiter meetings so members could meet each other face to face? Set up a few worldwide for those who could attend. Might be nice to put faces to names and etc, or would that ruin the entire anonymity of baiting and this site?

Thought it would potentially be fun to meet a couple eater members over a beer, or PIMMs.

I'm OK with it, but most here are from UK or US. I don't know of anyone else from my location in UAE

yeah, not sure how well it would work, and obviously some places would only have like one or two baiters, and etc, but if there was a handful in one location, like for me the Pacific NW of America, it could be interesting.

organizing such meets is a very complicated thing to do and you never know who would show up at such a meeting.

If you like to know who is who and see another baiter in real life why don�t you set up a skype number and try to meet other members with the help of the video function? Wink

The first inaugural meeting of Baiters from Christchurch N.Z. will be held Thurdsay night @ my place.

BYO beer, I'll put on some Fish & Chips.

I'm in the middlands of UK from 16th May. (Woohoo, going back to my roots for a bit) I know some really good pubs...! Laughing

PS. Would make a special trip to the US of A To meet the 8's !!

I'm not sure I'd want to meet other baiters. They'd probably never turn up and I'd end up stranded somewhere in front of a webcam with a fish on my head holding up a stupid sign. Laughing

I can just see a room full of people pretending not to be anything to do with it, probably wearing paper bags over their heads or wearing false mustaches

(in my case a paper bag is required so I don't scare the children)
I'm in Chatham (UK) second weekend in June, I'll be the one playing with toy trains in the Dockyard.

I'll also be in the Midlands (more specifically, the west of them) on the 16th of May. However, I wouldn't be able to meet anyone, but I could give directions, or something.

I think it would be tons of fun, although I'd be the one sitting in the corner just watching everyone because I'm reeeally socially awkward. Laughing

I'm actually already plotting to meet a certain baiter whom I particularly like.
