ManU must have lost about 1million supporters from that dismal performance. They should all have supported a real team in the first place. |

That's the point and not the injuries. ManU has a young and most promising team but experience can get an old and tactically outdated (British press after the match against Roma) but experienced (that's 3 CL finals in 5 years) Italian side very far. Yea, Man U is the bomb! Saw the replays of the Milan match and that was pathetic it was like watching DC United...
Shame that the world brand of football here in the states doesn't catch on beyond a thursday night prime time mls match. It isn't a game for the suburb kids like these yuppies here have it as. It is a hard fought kind of game better suited for the working class kids. you know, the kids that can't afford those elite summer "clinics" and overated travel teams. Their parents are barely making a living, etc. Example of the up and coming elite teams here in my area, a local "elite travel" team here in NY state got their rears handed to them 11-2 by the Ajax Under 16s not too long ago. Plus I think the NYS team were under 18s. SO much for elite status.
BTW, totally off topic. I can't stand when some 3rd Division has been pro can charge 1000-2000 bucks for a week of youth coaching. A guy who played for some "accrington stanley" tours the northeast here giving clinics. He might of been in charge of washing their atheletic supporters, you know I doubt he has legit credentials but "hes from europe so therefore he must know something about coaching" is what the soccer moms think here...

If Man City had scored that penalty they would be screwed now.
Anyway lets hope Chelsea win tomorrow then ManU will really have to fight for the title.
Going by their poor form today they don't stand a chance if they face Chelsea.

Lets face the facts here.
ManU were wasting time for the last 15 minutes because they knew that if they didn't City would've scored. I agree that the City penalty was poor but so was Uniteds form during the entire match.
They got lucky with the penalty and it's a simple as that. It was a cheap result.
As for me i had �20 on 1-1 so i was devastated when city missed that penalty. At the moment i am ashamed to be a City supporter because they are the worst team by far. Lets just hope Stuart Pearce gets his act together.

No offence to the US posters here, but it's that image of football which makes me grateful I live here. Yuppies playing football - there's an image to conjure with! I thought the game here was moving away form its working class roots, but having read that, I have to say it hasn't got that bad. And can someone explain to me what a 'travel team' is??

I have to say for tonights game that i really want Chelski to win. This will then make United really have to struggle to win anything.
UEFA are having a 3rd place playoff this year. It's called the FA cup final.
In my family supporting ManU is on a par with eating the pet dog.
