You could offer to pay for tattoo removal treatment. If this isn't available in Nigeria then you could also offer to arrange a visa and travel / accomodation for him to come to the UK / US / wherever your baiting character is to have it removed.

seriously, this is a prime opportunity to tell him he has to have the tattoo removed. Even if he doesn't have to use a cheese grater... oh I'm sorry, the "Holy Erasure..." having a tattoo removed is still twice as painful as getting one.

Hmm, do they have affordable rates on those in his country? If not, he'll have to find another method that'll probably be even more painful. I almost feel sorry for the lad (yes, I said almost. Don't worry).
