Boris Yeltsin is no longer with us. Died from a heart failure.

His liver announced however it will continue as usual for a few more years.

I think his most famous exploit was getting so drunk on a flight to Ireland that he never even made it off the plane at the other end.

Besides having a REAL alcohole problem in his later years, I still think he earns our respect for his role against the coup attempt in august 1991.

It took some brave men to fight this, and Boris Yeltsin was one of these. I think he deserves to be remembered for this and not for his alcoholism later on.

The only memory I have of Boris Yeltsin was the Simpsons episode where it spoofed the X-Files. Homer took a breathalyzer to see how drunk he was and "Boris Yeltsin" was the most drunk.

I was too young to remember what he did. All I remember is that he retired at the end of last century...
