Well, I have a formerly long haired Blue Persian. Well, the summers get pretty hot here, so I decided that he might like to be cooled off. He seemed unhappy with his old long hair, so I figured I would give him the old lion cut.

Here was previously:

Clearly, he was unhappy with his long hair. You can see it in his face.

So, I get him shaved. Now look at the joy in his eyes:

I had to hold back my fingers not to put that as the title of this thread. But, I figured I would not do so for the ladies of the forum. Plus, there are already some issues concerning my gender (thanks Pers Evil or Very Mad

) and I would not want to further confuse thing.

As far as my cat getting even, he actually seems to enjoy it. Much more playful. He plays one hour a day now and sleeps only 23.

No scratches from my cat. Whilst he may look increibly angry, he is a very happy cat. Nice, no hateful qualities (except his wicked bad looks).

A professional groomer. I sure didn't do it myself.

As far as the bagpipes go... the cat never cared for them. Nor does my wife. So I wouldn't know who to blame if they came up missing. He has been shaved for a couple of weeks now actually and he likes it I am convinced. Summers are terribly hot here, so he will enjoy it. I'll leave him long for the winter.
