Hi everyone,
I am a new member having run across your website while researching Adline Okuta. This (supposedly female) person sent a plea to my work address, begging to send me a large sum of money from her father's estate, who was recently murdered.
I recognized it right away for what it was and have been having a ball with it over the last couple weeks. Then I discovered that OTHER people are actually doing this in an organized manner, how funny.
So I did a search on your site and if I did it correctly, (still familiarizing myself with the tools here), I didn't get a hit. Sooooo, it might be that this name hasn't become popular yet? But it is altogether 419 rhetoric and there are a number of hits on the Metacrawler search I use.

Hi Higgins and welcome to the land where we make Lads (scammers) nightmares come true. There's a lot for you to read, though you can get up and running safely pretty quickly, but we have many tools and fun games for the scammers to play for your amusement and pleasure which'll take a while for you to get the hang of. They aren't a necessity to use, just a few nicely honed tools to inflict a little pain and grief on them. Evil or Very Mad

I know we have some baiters from your neck of the woods and I'm sure they'll say hello shortly - as we're a chummy bunch Very Happy

We're proud to be baiters, not counter scammers or hackers, and if that sounds as if we fight with one arm tied behind our backs, just look through the posts to see how the Lads suffer. Sometimes I shed tears (of laughter) at how they suffer.

Welcome Higgins. Please take the time to read up here before continuing with your bait. You may be able to avoid a number of mistakes, or just in generally, add some more flavor to your bait.

One thing you should reconsider however is using your real (especially your work) email address with the scammer. We practice and preach "baiting safe" which means using all reasonable means to avoid the lad knowing of our true identities and locations. The risks are slim, to be sure, but you're better safe than sorry.

So, if you are using a genuine email account, you should drop the bait and pick it up from another address (preferably gmail, hushmail or fastmail -- they strip your IP).

Here is a similar letter from the same individual, Adline Okuta, posted on this website...

although she told me her life was in danger and I only got 15% (wah! LOL).
Before making this scammer's life hell, I wanted to review with you all the name and pitch so that I wouldn't be re-inventing the wheel with this particular individual. Is anyone else working her? I've been working on getting a picture of her most recently. How to get them to post a placard with side-splitting self deprecating remarks? I LOVE IT!!
I am open to any tools, fun games or new idea's anyone cares to help me out with on this person.
