Nao sou brasileiro, mas falo portugues e passei um tempo no Brasil faz muitos anos (meu Deus, como 'tou envelhecendo!) e ainda me sinto ligado ao pais. Que eu lembro mais e a comida maravilhosa, o cafe, o pao, as churrascarias, as vitaminas . . . Que delicia!
Infelizmente tem problems, tambem, como voce sabe. E uma pena, mas eu acho que a mentalidade que contribui as coisas boas do pais tambem impede progresso e mantem um certo nivel de burrice no povo. Sacume, tche? (Viu? Ainda lembro um pouco da giria!)
Nunca gostei muito de esporte, mais adoro a musica. Ate vi shows de Milton Nascimento e Fafa de Belem, e continuo a ouvir Chico Buarque, Raul Siexas e muitos outros. (Os mais modernos, nao. Pode ver que numa certa maneira meu Brasil e o Brasil de 1979.)

E realmente, problemas existem em todos os lugares, e coisas boas tambem. Ja morei fora um tempo, na Italia, e aprendi que o melhor lugar mesmo e o pais da gente.

I can say "thank you" in Portuguese. And my neighbors are from Brasil. I sometimes say "Hello" to them.

4. Dupes (who can speak some essential words in Portuguese and is very friendly with his neighbors)

Estou em Salvador, e Sao Paulo para un semana fin de Maio. Mas meu portugese e nao perfeto. Dificil fala porque eu nao pensamento rapido, mas letura e bom... (damn laptop doesn't cooperate with the accent thingys either)
