I have a particular song that I want as a ringtone. Anyone here know how to do that? Bear in mind I am computer illerate.

Details? Some phones will let you just put an MP3 on them straight from the computer onto their memory card.

I have the "clip" of the song on a .wav file now, but no USB cable that will fit the phone. If I get a USB cable, I still don't know how to tell the phone to d/l the song. It is a Motorola model V180.

My phone is shown like an external memory device, like a little portable USB memory stick. So, when I plug my phone into my computer, I can drag and drop just like I would a memory stick. I don't know if yours is the same, but I cannot imagine it being too much different.

Get the USB lead and software. One thing, we had a Motorola (v550 if I remember) and it was a real pain to get connected to the PC. It would set up fine, then the next time we plugged it in it wouldn't be able to find it. In the end we bought a bluetooth adaptor to connect it instead.

the other option is to upload the mp3 clip onto the internet (personal web space or whatever) and download it on your phone using your wap browser.

Or email it to someone who can put it on their phone and then mms it to you. Will save you buying the cable
