New icon?

I know I'm only new and I should be more humble but IMHO there is an icon missing - that of a cross to show a lad that has been converted.
I only say this because I hope to qualify (even though she is currently gravely ill and I may have to convert her corpse in order to get her money!)

Flags are reserved for achievements above and beyond regular baiting. If I mail a thousand lads and tell them that in order for me to send money they must convert to a particular religion (or get a haircut, or do a little dance, or change their name to Sally) nine out of ten of them will reply �Sure! I just did, honest. Now send the money to�� It�s not really an achievement to get a lad to lie to you.

... I guess you're right, although proof via a photo of something like a tattoo is pretty good.

Trouble with you guys is that when you do something like 'Mr Cucumber goes on a road trip' it just makes me want to give up - how on earth can I ever get to that level? And I have a Masters in Psychology! Hey ho.. just looking at my empty sig line, that was all Crying or Very sad

Icons and sigs are a very small part of baiting.
There are very experienced baiters here who are still waiting for their first "security photo" long form completed etc. Taking part is what counts in the long term.

As Mr fishe says- if you gotta have an icon try the phonelads forum or alternatively have a go at a few fake banks on that forum

The litttle icons look great. Do not be discouraged. I have not claimed any icons. Also, do not compare yourself with those professional liers like
Scrooge, bombardier, SP. Jojo, YW just naming a few.
They are not normal. They live in their own little world.

Straight baiting can be just a fun and damaging as getting a trophy.
I do like the idea of a new icon for converting lads to a new religion Laughing

Experience will give you those icons if you want to earn them Cool

A few people would need a church icon. Have you seen what these guys will do if they think you have money?

Trophies take a while to get -- rare exceptions aside, there's no way around that. My one safari took over a month to get, and I had a co-baiter working with me the whole time. My tattoos took dozens of tries -- it's easy to get a lad to sign up for your church, but it's rare and exceptionally stupid lad who will permanently ink himself with your custom design.

My first icons were phones and I still display them with pride. But even if you never get a lad to do anything but send you fake passports and dozens of emails, you are contributing.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride -- there are enough creative bastards here to keep you laughing daily.

EDIT: And don't even think of going for a pink pony -- too risky. Wink

I've been here over three years and I don't have any icons. I know I could display at least a couple of different ones, but then I'd feel obligated to keep trying for more. For me, a good death threat is worth a thousand icons Smile

It's worthwhile if it motivates you, but don't be discouraged if the exceptional stuff doesn't come quickly or easily. Cool
