So, I signed up recently, as you can tell.

Today, at around 5pm local time, I set up my first junk email address. It is now 10pm and I checked that address. Sure enough, there's an email waiting for me.

This is ridiculous.

Well, it seems I won a prize from the Coca-Cola company. Here's the header.

As I don't have any experience, I'll just play the "ignorant" role and see how much information I can gather over as long a period of time as I can.

What do you say? Wink

I would just respond with something short and sweet such as "What should I do now?" Most lads don't read your first few replies, so you don't need to read theirs.

Day #2, and I have 6 scam letters. And this is only through seeding this particular email address 4 or 5 times.

These guys work quick.

I have 2 Coca-Cola scams.
1 Tsunami scam
1 "everybody died in a car crash" scam
1 sick widow scam
and 1 "help me to raise money for charity" scam

I got one response already from the Coca-Cola scam asking me for personal information. These guys work quick.

If they have so much time to scam, why don't they get real jobs? Oh, that's right. Cause scamming takes no work, those selfish, lazy bastards.

It begins....

^^ Scamming is seen as being a real job out in Nigeria by many people.
Some of the lads are highly organised and put a lot of time into what they see as a career. It's even considered as a respectable vocation by many of thier fellow citizens.

The Coke scam will quickly involve you contacting a courier company which will send you an "insured" package containing your check. All you need to do is determine how fast you want the lottery check to arrive. The faster it goes, the more you pay. Usually starting at a few hundred dollars for the slowest speed.

I always hang back on where I live until I know where the payment is coming from, so I can adjust my geographical location to make it possible for me to travel to collect it. No too close - not too far. Most seem to be mainland Europe so I often choose Lithuania, or Lilliput if I'm in that sort of mood.

That means I can add some interesting mishaps and problems into the mix. I have even bought fancy Lamborghinis in anticipation of getting the winnings to make them want to meet me personally.

Tell them about the parties at each stop off on the way.

That's a good idea!

When is the next Gumball 3000? I'd love to make it a part of a bait; buy a car for the race, race to pick up the winnings....
