First of all I agree that scam baiting is a lot of fun and it wastes scammers time, which is a good thing. But I have to say some of the photos I have seen in the trophy room are pretty extreme.
Its fair to say that scammers are scum, but getting your scammer to have a tatoo on his body for the rest of his life is pretty nasty too. I dont disagree that these guys deserve to be punished, but tatoos with insulting phrases, and even asking the scammers to cut themselves is just lowering yourself.

I am all for wasting their time, or having a bit of fun with getting them to hold funny white boards ect for the trophy room, but I dont think you should go to far, and it seems its heading that way.
Im sure many will disagree with this, but I think it needs to be addressed

Hi Jim

As a general rule I'd say that we do not force the lads to do anything. If they want to take a tattoo to join our church or whatever, they'll do it. If they want to twig, then they'll twig, but nobody is pointing them with a Luger pistol and saying "You will take the tattoo OR ELSE..."

It is of course different can of worms, if the lads themselves are making some innocent 3rd party to take a tattoo on their behalf. That has also been discussed before.

Personally I don't have problems with tattoos or any other extreme examples, but if you do, that is absolutely fine. Each to his own, as long as it causes ladache, I think. However, I do believe that in the end every baiter is responsible for him/herself and that also includes what that particular baiter makes the lads do to get their non-existant money.

There are things we do not discuss here (illegal things like hacking, or generally unacceptable things like cash baiting), but we simply cannot stop any individual from doing those things, should he/she want to do so and take responsibility for it.

I have a problem with asking for tattoos, so I don't do it.

Everyone has their own set of limits, and we keep to them. I don't judge what other baiters do, and I don't expect to be judged.

If you think that asking a lad to tattoo himself is objectionable then don�t do it. If you don�t like to read about scammers getting tattoos then don�t.

First of all I am not judging, do what the hell you want. And as for "all these ethic threads" Im new so have not seen them, although its alarming that an individual would be so wary of them, remember if you dont like them dont read them, isnt that kind of like your advice?

The point is not to be a fascist dictatorship where these kind of questions should not be discussed. The point is, that same kind of threads pop up all the time and the same persons are giving the same answers over and over again. It would be easier to refer to these previous threads ("Search" is your friend) to get these answers.

Or so I think...

No one here says that you have to do anything you don't want to.

Everyone is different - so I'm not going to spend my time arguing about what others do. The goal is to waste scammer's time - and if we sit here and argue, it's wasting our time.

See my post about my disabled friend. He has NO money - no savings - just that disability check each month - and he's suffering - barely getting by - and was going to send this scammer his disability check.

Please continue to read around here - see what the scammers have done to innocent people. And it's hard to get them arrested.

So, Barney, you have two choices....either take the bullet out of your pocket and go in and do something about it.......or sit here and waste your time fighting a fight that's just going to spin you in circles.

What would you like us to do, Jim? Ban all references to tattoos because you don�t like them? What sort of response were you expecting? Since some people don�t agree with using these modalities and some do, what is wrong with telling you to stick with what you feel comfortable with?
